While the Otford Village Fete is a much-loved event that brings our community together, it also serves a greater purpose. Each year, the profits raised are distributed to local organisations and individuals in need of financial support.

Projects we have supported

Below are just some of the projects and organisations we have supported.

VILLAGE PROJECTS

Two donations of £1000 each one for the replacement of curtains in The Hope Room, Otford Memorial Hall and the other for the new ‘50s directional signs around the Duck Pond Roundabout.

Otford Heritage Trail

We supported the Heritage Trail with a donation of £1,000. You will find these beautiful trail boards outside heritage sites around Otford.

PHAB

In Autumn 2023 a donation was made to the local branch of PHAB to purchase jigsaws for the many attendees who visit their weekly gatherings. The charity support adults who are either physically handicapped or have learning difficulties.

DEFIBRILLATOR FOR THE OTFORD VILLAGE MEMORIAL HALL

As we all know, CPR and the use of a defibrillator can really make the difference between life and death in a medical emergency. We purchased one of these life saving pieces of equipment which is situated inside the Otford Village Memorial Hall.

The boards are used to display paintings by the Otford Art Group and have really brightened up the children’s non-fiction book section!

A NEW FRIDGE FOR THE PLAYERS HALL IN THE VILLAGE MEMORIAL HALL

The purchase of a new fridge/freezer located in The Player’s Hall kitchen.
